The I'm Fine Attitude, But Are You Really?

I'm fine or Its always been like this is a common thing I hear when it comes to clients starting their journey with me.

They are never sure what to expect as quite a few believe that they will put on a strict diet or a mad exercise regime -this couldn’t be further from the truth. To put your mind at rest I don’t believe in diets, they take us away from our instincts and teach us not to trust ourselves when it comes to knowing what is best for us as an individual.

How could a diet know what is best for you, has it ever met you?

But to get back to that feeling fine aspect or the feeling that things have always been the same - this does not mean that this is right for you.

For instance, you may be taking up a new health regime but be tempted and give into treats, always experience an energy slump mid-morning or mid-afternoon and just put it down to, this is how it’s always been.

How about getting to really understand what is behind those feelings of temptation and the guilt of giving into them or getting to the bottom of why you feel so drained mind morning/ afternoon and even evening, you know, the time when you want to be able to play with the kids or have quality time with friends (when we are all able of course!)

I’m gonna be honest with you, the temptation, slumps, stress and need to have the treats followed by guilt -that’s not normal, your natural intuition is but I am guessing you have lost touch with that along the way.

I’m not saying don’t have the treat, but wouldn’t it be better to know the REAL why behind the temptation, the REAL why behind those slumps, the stress, the guilt and anxiety so you have an informed choice with you being in charge rather than the food being in control of you, as let’s face it if its on your mind, talking to you, saying EAT ME, is it really you in charge?

Maybe it’s time we had a chat…
